We love being flexible and accommodating, but keeping your project on schedule and budget means we have to be clear about what’s included — and what falls outside the initial plan. This helps avoid surprises and keeps everyone happy.
What’s Included?
Before we get started, we’ll share a detailed Scope of Work (SoW). This is your project blueprint — it outlines exactly what we’ll deliver (pages, features, visuals, and more). Think of it like a checklist that keeps us both on the same page.
Minor Tweaks vs. Major Changes
✏️ Small tweaks
Like adjusting wording, swapping images, or minor design changes — are part of the process and included in your project.
🚧 Major changes
Such as adding new pages, extra features, or significant content additions — usually go beyond the original scope.
How We Handle Extra Work
If you want something outside the SoW, we’ll chat about how it fits with your goals and timeline. Usually, you have two options:
🔄🗂️ Swap it for something else in the current phase, if possible.
➡️📅💬 Add it to the next phase or project stage with a new quote.
We aim to keep things flexible but clear, so your project doesn’t get bogged down.
How to Submit Change Requests
To keep things tidy, please submit any change requests through your client portal or in writing. This way, nothing gets missed, and we can respond quickly.
Why It Matters
Managing scope well helps us:
⏰ Keep your project on time and on budget
🚫 Avoid frustration and miscommunication
✨ Deliver a polished, focused final product
Real-Life Examples
Content overflow
A client wanted to add five new pages late in the design phase. We recommended saving those for a future phase, so we didn’t delay launch.
New feature request
Midway through development, a client asked for an e-commerce section that wasn’t in the original plan. We scoped it as an add-on project with its own timeline.
Last-minute text changes
Minor wording tweaks on existing pages were handled quickly without affecting deadlines.
