A modern site the team can run without a webmaster
Rebuilding the Global Apprenticeship Network's website in WordPress
The problem
GAN Global’s website was outdated and clunky, and hard to update without a dedicated webmaster. For a network representing some of the world’s leading employers, the site had fallen behind the organisation it spoke for.
The team run lean, so routine changes either waited for someone technical or got skipped. They wanted something new, easy to use, and easy to manage.
They had worked with an agency before and found the support lacking, so this search was as much about how an agency behaves as what it produces. They found us through a Google search, and stayed for the intuitive site, the messaging around giving smaller organisations visibility, and a culture-first approach.
The solution
We rebuilt the site in WordPress with a modern, intuitive design and an editing setup the team manages in-house. Every template was built with the editor in mind as well as the visitor, and we put the same care into the back-end as the front.
The project ran through our feedback platform, which GAN Global described as awesome. The process felt managed throughout, with feedback applied and any delays flagged early.
A change request was never met with “that can’t be done”. It was closer to “we could do it like A, B, and C, and this is what that would mean for you and for those visiting your website”, which helped a team without technical experts in it make real decisions.
GAN Global scored the finished site 10 out of 10 and have recommended us since.

Deliverables
Working with Rubber Duckers was an absolute game-changer for us. Our old website was outdated and challenging to manage, especially for a small team without a designated webmaster. Now, it’s the complete opposite: intuitive, modern, and actually fun to use!
From day one, Chris, Ross, and the team were fantastic: responsive, thoughtful, and incredibly easy to work with. No idea ever felt too big or too “out there,” and they took the time to get everything exactly right. Their collaboration process was seamless, using their new feedback tool, and we always felt confident nothing would slip through the cracks.
What really sets them apart is the care they put into both the front-end and the back-end. They didn’t just build something beautiful for our users, they made our internal experience dramatically better too. The result is a site that clearly communicates who we are, looks amazing, and has already impressed all of our stakeholders. If you’re on the fence about working with Rubber Duckers, don’t be. They’re awesome!
